M.Sc. Thesis Requirements – Biology

Biology M.Sc. students must complete a master’s thesis to be eligible for the final examination.

• The thesis is prepared under the guidance of one or more supervisors, who may be university lecturers, researchers, or external experts.

• The work is carried out as part of the courses Thesis I and Thesis II.

AI Declaration

In accordance with Rector’s Instruction 4/2025 on the use of artificial intelligence, and with the approval of the Biological Institute’s BI Council, students are required to include a declaration in their thesis regarding AI usage, by completing the following statement (the declaration is considered part of the thesis).

Deadline for uploading the thesis to Neptun (including supervisor approval!): Monday, May 4, 2026, at 16:00
