Call for applications for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship programme for the Academic Year 2020/2021 is open.

Stipendium Hungaricum is a scholarship programme for foreign students, founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013. The program aims to promote cultural understanding, economic and cultural relations between Hungary and other countries.

The programme offers:

• no tuition fee
• monthly stipend:
  • non-degree, bachelor, master and one-tier master level: monthly amount of HUF 43 700 (cca EUR 130) contribution to the living expenses in Hungary, for 12 months a year, while studying
  • doctoral level: according to the current Hungarian legislation, the monthly amount of scholarship is HUF 140 000 (cca EUR  420) for the first phase of education (4 semesters) and HUF 180 000 (cca EUR  540) for the second phase (4 semesters) - for 12 months a year, until the completion of studies.
• place in a dormitory or contribution to accommodation costs: HUF 40 000 (EUR  120)
• health care services according to the relevant Hungarian legislation (Act No. 80 of 1997, national health insurance card) and supplementary medical insurance for up to HUF 65 000 (cca EUR  195) a year/person

For the academic year 2020/2021, ELTE offers 15 bachelor level, 44 master level, 14 doctoral level programmes and one non-degree programme for application full time and a total of 45 programmes are available for part-time studies as well.

You need to submit your application on the application platform and to the responsible authority of the Sending Partner of your country.
